RESPONSE 10

END-OF-QUARTER SELF-EVALUATION

I would like you to do an evaluation of yourself in relation to this class. This will count as response number 10 towards your grade. Please answer the following questions, not necessarily in the given order. Please feel free to add anything also you would consider appropriate to help me understand how this course went for you. Post it in your blog and send it to Blackboard –Assessment assignments.

1. How much time and effort did you put into this?
2. What do you think your strengths and weaknesses were in this course?
3. How did you feel you performed in this course?
4. What are the most valuable things you learned from this course? 5. What would you do differently if you had a chance to do this all over again?

6. How do you feel the cooperative learning approach worked in this course? 7. Do you have any suggestions for improving this course? 8. What else would you like to add that I did not ask?

1. I think that I took too much time to do all the activities that were assigned. The effort was hard and I think I had to do many things to get the best. It was a course in which we had activities every week, so we were busy all the time, I was also taking 5 courses more, so sometimes the time was not enough for me. Even though I think I did the best. Probably the hardest activity was the final project. I had never planned a class, and that was probably the hardest, I had to dedicate too much time on that. Then, I think that I did the best when giving the class, as you know I was the first person who had to give the class, so I was really nervous, I actually did not know how the evaluation was going to be.

2. Basically I think the most important strength for me was “perseverance” even though I know I am not probably the best, I always try to do the best of me. I think I have so many weakness, but I want to share one of them that I consider is the worst of me; shyness, I am the shyest person, so when I have to give an exposition I get really nervous.

3. I think I was good. I did all the assignments, I tried to do the best all the time, and probably the most important thing I understood the general context of culture.

4. Sharing different opinions: I learned that everybody has important things to say and those things are all the time different so you can learn a lot from others. I knew more about different cultures, so I think that’s an important aspect as students. I think that I got a good knowledge about culture, now I know how culture works around us; I can tell that culture is a really good topic to discuss and learn.

5. My final project, like I said I was the first, so I did not know how the evaluation was going to be. I think that if I could do it again, it would be better.

6. I think it was good. My classmates always had something new to share and discus with us. There were really interesting topics developed in the final project. I like the idea of working in groups in class, so you can do things better.

7. I just would like to say that the course was given in an uncomfortable schedule, so that was probably the part I need to ulacit change. Most activities in class would be fine, but generally I think the course was fine.

8. Probably it is important that professors know that we are leaning, so we do not know everything yet. Sometimes we do things wrong, but that’s the way education works, I mean you go to school to learn.
